I’m giving away a ticket to one of the best social media summits ever where you’ll get to sit down with Tony Hsieh – Zappos CEO in Las Vegas.  You can buy a ticket for $3000 or you can win one.  Interested?

It’s not just Tony Hsieh, I’ll be there too…along with 6 other bad ass social media folks.  I was invited by Nick Nanton to be part of The Summit of the Year to be held in Las Vegas on November 15, 16th and 17th.  Probably one of the coolest slants on this event is that it’s not a MEGA event with hundreds of people vying to get in front of the speakers.  Part of the event will be held at the Zappos headquarters and then on to what’s being touted as the “Billionaire Boardroom Experience” where you can spend one-on-one time with the guy just sold his company to Amazon for nearly $900 million dollars.  In addition hanging w/Tony you’ll not only hear but work with the rest of the panel on how to incorporate these best practices into your business.  Blah blah blah…I know.  There’ll big some big ol’ brains in a very small space and it’s gonna be a once in a lifetime event.   In addition to chillin’ at Zappos, there will be a reception in the Celebrity Suite of the Palms Hotel, base jumping from the MGM Grand, a ride on Evil Knievels motorcycle, breakfast at Wayne Newtons and a ride on the space shuttle back to your home town.  Ok…you got me.  You’ll only get to do one of those things and I’m not saying which.

There’s a cap of 35 people who are able to attend and I’ve got a “golden ticket” to give away.  You don’t have to be lucky to win it either.  You have to be good.  Damn good.   Here are the rules:

A. An essay (oh no….).  Yes.  An essay.  I don’t care how long it is but it MUST cover EACH of the following topics:

1. How has social media impacted your business, your personal life or your career?
2. Your #1 prediction for social media for the next 12 months. (don’t regurgitate someone elses ideas – I’ll catch you.)
3. Which internet superstar do you emulate and what makes him/her so friggen special?
4. What interest you most about this particular social media summit other than it’s gonna be in Las Vegas?
5. If you are selected, what 5 things would you expect to walk away with? (hotel towels, an empty wallet, a divorce or an STD don’t count)
   

B.  Cross-Post this article on your blog.  If you don’t have a blog then you are in the stone ages and should be beaten with reeds.

D.  If selected, after the event – submit a post-summit assessment for publication on several other blogs and a few bathroom walls.
